Challenge & Context
I led the promotion and marketing of the world’s biggest one-day virtual event dedicated to wireless networking, bringing together industry experts and manufacturers to share insights with the Wi-Fi community. Together with marketing operations, graphic design, social media, web, and product teams, we created a highly engaging marketing program that saw its fourth consecutive year of growth.
Strategic Approach
To enhance engagement, I developed an innovative gamification strategy for organic promotion with a Flappy Bird-style game based around network engineering that resonated with our technical audience. Despite having no prior game development experience, I used GPT models to create the game, collaborating closely with our graphic design team to bring it to life. The event integrated product messaging naturally into technical content while building interactive elements that reinforced product value.
Results & Impact
The program achieved a 21% increase in registrations year-over-year and a 35% rise in net new leads. We created a reusable content asset library for ongoing lead generation and established a new benchmark for our technical community engagement.
